Mission Statement

The Islamic Association of Nova Scotia (IANS), Canada, is a non-profit, volunteer organization that provides support and services to the Muslim community of Nova Scotia for its religious and social needs. The Association administers the mosques in Dartmouth and Truro, Nova Scotia and maintains the Muslim cemetery in Truro.

Tafseer Class Update

Tafseer classes will now be held after Isha prayers at 8pm on Fridays.


Monthly Potlucks

first Saturday of every month

Islamic Association of Nova Scotia arranges a pot luck dinner at the Dartmouth Mosque every first Saturday of the month. However, during the month of Ramadan an open Iftar is arranged for all brother Muslims every Saturday.

All the Muslim brothers are requested to attend the monthly pot lucks with their families.
Following are the dates in respective months for the year 2011:

2nd April at 6; 30PM

7th May at 7:00PM

4th June at 6:30PM

1st October at 6:30PM
